'The Wanderer' - Journal Log Chapters 16-34
This is just a little something that I'm doing for school - so here goes.
Wow, what some chapters, eh! Well, Cody and Sophie go wandering off to some island called Wood Island. The meet an old lady who tells them about a ghost or two that have been wandering around the island. They go in search of the ghost(s) and find an old chapel, in which they find a necklace. Sophie thinks the necklace was leftover form the past lives of some of these "ghosts," but I think someone just dropped the necklace.
Everyone was taught the code of HAM Radio. There are words associated with letters, such as |A = Alpha|. Cody's name in HAM code would be Charlie-Oscar-Delta-Yankee, and mine would be Alpha-Romeo-Mike-Alpha-November. Hehe, I think that's kind of funny.
A little black bird came by the boat, looking rough and not too well, so Sophie and Cody took care of it, and named it Little Peep. I think that's a really cute name for a bird, especially a baby bird. I remember having a little bird that we found in the dumpster in LFS (odd place, huh?), and taking him to a shelter. I don't think we named him though...
Sophie is telling a lot of Bompie[her step-grandfather]'s stories that he told her. For example, once he jumped off a bridge down really far into muddy water to save himself from being hit by a train on a narrow bridge. (Weird people in this story, I say.)
It turns out that Uncle Dock may have taken the whole trip just to find his lost love, Rosalie. They've been meeting her relatives along the way, and are so close to finding her. I wonder how this trip will turn out...
